“The first time I encountered the Berserker in Gears 1, I was playing it with my brother. At night. I refused to touch the game for months afterwards.”
“I cried harder when Dom was talking to Maria in front of the angel statue than I did when he actually died. His last words to her and the moment he hung one of his tags and her locket around the angel’s neck killed me.”
“I wish there was one more DLC for the locust. More locust maps, with new characters like the palace guard, weapon skins, and a locust version of horde. That would be badass, survive wave after wave of human and lambent enemies defending the palace or something for 50 waves.”

“The main reason why I hate the sawed-off and the retro lancer is because I find it extremely difficult to use.”
“I must be the only person who wasn’t blown away with Dom’s death in Gears 3. I thought it was forced and very melodramatic. The writing in the campaign was pretty bad over all, but Dom’s shitty death scene was what really ruined it for me.”
“Oh, so now because I play as a female in gears it means I’m not a good player? Fuck that shit. I’m a female because I am physically a GIRL. Why should I play as a dude? Fuck hitbox and all that crap. If I can sneak up on you and chainsaw you, then tough tits.”
“I got angry when there was a chance to explain about Myrrah’s backstory, but then it never happened. I get really pissed every time I think about how she’s just one giant loose end now that she’s dead.”
“I often fantasize about being a COG soldier. I know I wouldn’t last longer than a few minutes or days on the battlefield without being ripped apart limb by limb by Locust, or being blown to bits by the Lambent, but that doesn’t bother me. I’d rather die with a purpose, I’d rather be torn apart limb by limb knowing I helped than die in my sleep.”

“If you’re a true Gears of War gamer it wouldn’t matter if someone used a player with a small hitbox because you always aim towards the middle and not the sides of the player.”
“I’ve had 3 Carmine’s Star ribbons since I chose to play as Clay for forever back in September. I ain’t even mad; Anthony’s out there approving of this.”
“When Dom went kaboosh I couldn’t handle it, I was depressed for the rest of the campaign. Then during the ending, his dagger struck Myrrah. I wanted to cry, imagine what Marcus had to feel. Afterwards I played some multiplayer and saw Sam as a playable character and remembered seeing her do (or fix up) his tattoo in the intro video. Now I keep switching between the two characters, forever my favourites.”
“I used to call Sawed-Off and Retro Lancer users noobs. But after I earned the Onyx Gnasher Medal, I started to use them both. And I have to admit, the Sawed-Off Shotgun actually takes skill to use. Especially when you are going up against a Gnasher pro. Another thing I learned is that any death resulting from a Sawed-Off, could have been caused if the opposing player was using a Gnasher. Therefore, I confess, that I was wrong. All starting weapons take skill to use.”
